The 2nd N-TrAMS (21st-24th August 2024, Tokyo)
The Non-Traditional Arthropod Model Systems (N-TrAMS) meeting aims to bring together scientists working on current experimental model systems in a variety of arthropods, including insects. Inspired by the previous international conference on crickets held in Tokushima, Japan (2012-2014), the first N-TrAMS meeting took place at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. We are now delighted to host the second meeting here at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
The program includes sessions on Evolution & Development, Neuroscience & Behaviour, and Resource Development & Techniques. Plenary lecturers will highlight current trends, including cutting-edge research topics, tools, and applications used to investigate significant questions in various arthropods. We anticipate that speakers will discuss experimental arthropod model systems beyond the traditional ones. Through this meeting, we expect participants to share studies on the diversity and commonality of insects, fostering insightful discussions and collaborative opportunities within our scientific community.
